Todd became interested in Martial Arts as a child as he was an avid fan of Bruce Lee and also the television series, Kung Fu starring David Carradine. He traveled to California for the summers as a youth to take Karate classes. Influenced by his older brothers who were already involved in Martial Arts, Todd became dedicated to becoming a black belt in Karate.

My Story
Todd became interested in martial arts as a child as he was an avid fan of Bruce Lee and also the television series, Kung Fu starring David Carradine.
He traveled to California for the summers as a youth to take karate classes. Influenced by his older brothers who were already involved in Martial Arts, Todd became dedicated to becoming a Black Belt in Karate.
At 17, he moved to California and completed his senior high year at Soquel High School in Santa Cruz, CA.
By 21, Todd was
Todd’s first sensei was his older brother, Terry Dunphy. Todd credits his success as a martial artist to him as he instilled a disciplined work and training ethic and would make him train moves over and over until he got it right.
